You can watch films from our online catalogue via <a href=\"https:\/\/f3m.shany.ca\">f3m.ca<\/a> by clicking on the link in each film page on our web site.\u00a0 You can rent films individually or take out a monthly subscription.<br \/><br \/><br \/><strong>Q: Is there a difference between <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/f3m.shany.ca\"><strong>f3m.ca<\/strong><\/a><strong>(the website) and <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/f3m.vhx.tv\"><strong>f3m.vhx.tv<\/strong><\/a><strong> (the online distribution platform)?<\/strong><br \/><br \/>A: Yes.\u00a0The website (<a href=\"https:\/\/f3m.shany.ca\">f3m.ca<\/a>) is where you\u2019ll find information about our films. You can search our site to access the official web page of every film distributed by Les Films du 3 Mars. As for our online distribution platform (<a href=\"http:\/\/f3m.vhx.tv\">f3m.vhx.tv<\/a>), that\u2019s for on-demand viewing. You can pay a one-time fee to watch an individual title or take out a monthly subscription and watch as many as you like. \u00a0Therefore, we have two different-but-complementary interfaces. We try to keep communications running smoothly between the two. <br \/><br \/><br \/><strong>Q: Am I required to pay the annual fee to subscribe to your video on-demand service?<\/strong><br \/><br \/>A: No. The monthly rate is $5 CAD. Why is that?<\/strong><br \/><br \/>A: The amounts posted on our online distribution platform are indeed in USD. We are currently working with our web host to have the currency switched to Canadian (CAD). Another thing to ensure is that you\u2019re using <em>Browse <\/em>or <em>Search<\/em> (top left) to look for content rather than <em>Titles available for purchase <\/em>or <em>Buy from F3M.ca<\/em>. <br \/><br \/><br \/><strong>Q: Whenever I do a search, I end up with two suggestions:\u00a0COLLECTIONS and\u00a0 VIDEOS. What\u2019s the difference?<\/strong><br \/><br \/>A: When SEARCHING for a film or a director, you land on a page with both COLLECTIONS and VIDEOS. COLLECTIONS shows the versions (English\/French) of a given film and\/or titles by a given filmmaker that are available for viewing.<br \/><br \/>For example, if you were to type \u201cJean-Claude Coulbois\u201d into the search field, you would see links to all of his available works. <br \/><br \/>To go directly to the film of your choice after doing a SEARCH, simply skip COLLECTIONS and scroll down to VIDEOS, then click on the film you want to watch.\u00a0\u00a0<br \/><br \/><br \/><strong>Q: I got lost while browsing <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/f3m.vhx.tv\"><strong>f3m.vhx.tv<\/strong><\/a><strong>. How can I get back to the main menu?<\/strong><br \/><br \/>A: At the top as well as at the bottom of the page, you\u2019ll see <em>Retour \u00e0 l\u2019accueil<\/em>\/<em>Return to Homepage <\/em>and <em>Retour \u00e0 F3M.ca<\/em>\/<em>Return to F3M.ca<\/em>. The first link brings you back to the homepage of the online distribution platform; the second, to that of our main website, <a href=\"https:\/\/f3m.shany.ca\">F3M.ca<\/a>. <br \/><br \/><br \/><strong>Q: Can I search for a film by subject or director on <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/f3m.vhx.tv\"><strong>f3m.vhx.tv<\/strong><\/a><strong>? <\/strong><br \/><br \/>A: At present, the online distribution platform doesn\u2019t offer this feature. However, you can search by subject or director on our main website (<a href=\"https:\/\/f3m.shany.ca\">f3m.ca<\/a>) by clicking on the search icon ? in the top left-hand menu<strong>.<\/strong><br \/><br \/><br \/><strong>Q: Some of your films don\u2019t seem to be on <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/f3m.vhx.tv\"><strong>f3m.vhx.tv<\/strong><\/a><strong>. Is this normal?<\/strong><br \/><br \/>A: Yes. There are a number of reasons why this might be so:<br \/><br \/>1) The film is available in French only.<br \/><br \/>2) We don\u2019t have distribution rights for the film outside of Canada.<br \/><br \/>3) The film isn\u2019t yet available as a VOD, though it soon will be.
